LISTENING GUIDE:
This song was inspired by the novel “La roba” written by Verga. Mazzarò is Faust, he spend his
whole lifetime buying things, he doesn’t even care of himself, he just thinks of buying and
accumulating stuff. He likes to show to the people overloaded by items, he appreciates when the
baron is amazed at him, he prefers to buy anything but a piece of bread for his stomach. At the end,
when the crucial moment comes, he realises he couldn’t carry anything of what he bought with him,
in the next world. Therefore, the only option he has is to destroy all his possessions so that nobody
could inherit his stuff, animals included.

LYRICS:
Faust, as a rogue with his rotating face
Pointed shoes and feet without socks
Faust also called "Wayfarer heartbreaker"
Worn pants with shirt inside
Faust fat ugly short
Purple green yellow blue suit jacket
-Uh? -
Faust is always too ambiguous
For the taste of his neighbour, too awake to delirium and
Always too "hello hellooo darling"
Fausto also known as rogue
Too secular and atheist too, but not nihilistic
Collect only land admired by Baron
He does not even have braces for bread is a "jerk"!
-Look at him there, how disgusting, in order to buy, he stays without eating, he barely spent 12
pennies for his mother, but then if he gets sick, what the hell will all that stuff avail?! -
Faust is a rogue-faced thief
Angry death -oh my God call a doctor, quickly! -
Always too smart to face the problems
Delirious to destroy the land
"You, geese, roosters and dogs belonging to me
I’ll slay all of you, so you’ll follow me!!!"
---
Fausto da birbante con la faccia roteante
Scarpe a punta senza calzini nei piedi
Fausto detto anche "Ruba cuori da viandante"
Pantaloni rotti con dentro la camicia
Fausto grasso brutto basso
Giacca viola verde giallo blu
-Eh!?-
Fausto sempre troppo ambiguo
Sempre troppo "ciao ciaoinooo"
Fausto detto pur birbante
"Voi, oche, galli e cani appartenenti a me
Vi secco tutti quanti che venite col me!!!"
